Privacy Policy

STAGE ONE Co., Ltd. sets out below how ONE VAULT JAPAN handles personal information.

Article 1 (Basic policy)

STAGE ONE Co., Ltd. ("we") recognizes the importance of the personal information our customers entrust to us through ONE VAULT JAPAN (the "Service"). We comply with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, and handle personal information appropriately.

Article 2 (Information we collect)

When you use the Service, we may collect the following information:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, address and other information needed for orders, quotes and inquiries
  • Account information (including information used to verify your login by email)
  • Order details, purchase history and the content of your inquiries
  • Photos and condition details of items you submit for a buyback appraisal
  • Card payment information (collected and managed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc.; we do not store card numbers)
  • Cookies, IP address, device information, access logs and similar data

Article 3 (How we collect it)

We collect personal information when you use the Service, for example when you create an account, place an order, request a quote, submit an inquiry form or apply for a buyback appraisal.

Article 4 (How we use it)

We use personal information only for the following purposes:

  • To ship your order, process payment and otherwise perform our contract with you
  • To prepare quotes for overseas orders and to complete export and customs procedures
  • To respond to your inquiries
  • To handle buyback appraisal requests and send the results
  • To provide member services such as VAULT membership and to send restock notices (only to those who have signed up)
  • To analyze how the Service is used and improve its quality
  • To prevent fraud and respond to violations of our terms
  • To comply with the law

Article 5 (Disclosure to third parties)

We do not provide personal information to third parties without your prior consent, except in the following cases or as described in Article 6:

  • When required by law
  • When necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent
  • When necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body, or someone entrusted by one, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining your consent would interfere with those duties

Article 6 (Overseas shipping)

When we ship an order outside Japan, we provide the recipient's name, address and phone number, and a description and the value of the items, to Japan Post on the shipping label and customs form. Japan Post passes this information to the postal operator and customs authority of the destination country (for Singapore, Singapore Post and Singapore Customs) so that the parcel can be cleared and delivered. By requesting overseas shipping, you consent to this disclosure.

Article 7 (Service providers)

We use the following outside services to run the Service, and they may handle personal information to the extent necessary. We require them to protect it appropriately.

  • Payments: Stripe, Inc. (card payments)
  • Email: Resend (order confirmations, replies to inquiries and other emails)
  • Servers and database: Supabase, Inc. (the platform the Service runs on)
  • Hosting and bot protection: Vercel Inc.
  • Site analytics: Google LLC (Google Analytics)
  • Delivery: Japan Post and our partner carriers in Japan (shipping address information)
  • Postal code lookup: zipcloud (for Japanese addresses; only the postal code is sent, never your name)

Article 8 (Cookies)

The Service uses cookies to keep your cart, keep you logged in and measure site usage. Cookies themselves do not contain information that identifies you. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service may then be unavailable.

Article 9 (Security)

We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of the personal information we handle, and otherwise to keep it secure.

Article 10 (Your rights)

You may ask us to disclose, correct, add to, delete or stop using the personal information we hold about you, as provided by law. To do so, contact us through the channel in Article 11. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable period.

Article 12 (Transfers outside Japan)

Some of the service providers in Article 7, including Stripe, Vercel and Google, are based in or store data in countries outside Japan, such as the United States. For overseas orders, information is also sent to the destination country as described in Article 6. We use these providers only to the extent necessary for the purposes in Article 4.

Article 13 (Changes to this policy)

We may update this policy as needed. Changes take effect when they are posted on the Service. This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
